Grain drying
The drying process involves partial water removal from the grain through simultaneous transference of heat (from the surrounding air to the grains) and water (from the grains to the surrounding air).
In DCF facilities there are two different kinds of grain drying systems: A conventional high temperature drying system and a low temperature drying silo – The first of its kind to be built in the Iberian Peninsula. The low temperature drying method is more energy efficient and preserves the grains nutritional value and germinal capacity.
